Ascent from Aeschiried to the Brunnihütte, with a magnificent view of the Bernese Oberland

The signposted snowshoe route leaves the district of Aeschiried in a wide arc and gently ascends. Over snow-covered alpine meadows, the route climbs to Aeschiallmi. Around the ski lift and the famous ski hut, you will meet other winter sports enthusiasts. Already here a wonderful view opens up to the Kandertal. To comfortably gain altitude in the somewhat steeper terrain, the route follows the snow-covered summer track up to the Alp Bireberg. At the alpine hut, the path is left, and it climbs over open terrain to the ridge. The route now follows the ridge steadily ascending via the Greberegg to the foot of the Morgenberghorn. The Greberegg invites to rest and offers a fantastic view both of the Thun and Brienz Lakes as well as the Kandertal below. Then a last steep ascent awaits that takes you to Alp Brunni with the stately Brunnihütte (unmanned). During a long rest at the foot of the Morgenberghorn, enjoy the great panorama. The return to Aeschiried follows the same route.
