We had an amazing dinner at The Tavern in Interlaken! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome — friendly, attentive, and always smiling. The cozy Alpine atmosphere was perfect, and the food was outstanding. We ordered the Swiss specialties, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was prompt, and our waiter took time to recommend local wines that paired wonderfully with our meal. It’s clear this restaurant takes pride in both quality and hospitality. If you’re visiting Interlaken and want a memorable dining experience with a warm local touch, The Tavern is a must-try!

I had an amazing experience at Tavern Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was full of flavor and perfectly prepared. What made the evening even more special was the excellent service from Svitlana. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right throughout our meal. Her warm personality and professionalism truly elevated the dining experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food paired with outstanding service. This restaurant is superb. The quality of the food is first class and the staff are very helpful. The restaurant ambiance is wonderful and we enjoyed our evening out at this restaurant.

My wife and I ordered the pulled pork burgers and 2 beers. The waitress asked if we would like water. I replied yes to still water. She brought a carafe of tap water. We had our dinner and beers. I was shocked that thee was a charge of 7.90 CHF FOR THE WATER! ( the Two beers were 8.50CHF.) when I questioned it, She said that is a normal charge. If I had known that in advance, I never would have ordered it. What a rip off.

Lovely setting sitting outside on the terrace. Good selection of beautifully presented international style food. We had a wonderful waitress and had a really enjoyable evening. We would definitely recommend for dinner.

Food was excellent. Service was quick. We had a nice view of the koi pond from the terrace. I appreciated that they had a nice kid’s menu in addition to a good selection for adults.

Excellent meal for 2 people on a Friday evening. Day out in Interlaken and needed somewhere for dinner before catching train back to holiday base. Picked this off Trip Advisor and not disappointed. Table ready, service good and food/wine excellent. Not cheap (this is Switzerland!) but generous portions of nicely prepared food

What a lovely, utterly charming place this was. The food was amazing. We were a group of six and everybody loved their dishes. Presentation was beautiful, flavors were outstanding. Tina, our server, was extremely helpful and kind. This was a wonderful welcome to our first night in Switzerland. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for good food, super friendly staff, and nice ambience.

We had been in Switzerland for a week and not yet found the perfect fondue opportunity. Well, this was it. We were served by a friendly male waiter with perfect English (which compensated for our dreadful German). Wine available by the glass. We had the classic fondue for four people, with bread, potatoes and pickled vegetables. We had hoped to try the chocolate fondue too but we were simply too full.

Had a wonderful experience with our party of 10, which can be difficult for some restaurants. We were seated outside under the awning on a beautiful night- great for people watching. Our service from Tina was superb. the menu had excellent choices and all items came out timely and warm. everyone enjoyed the night. wouldn’t hesitate to go back and recommend to others
