- BruceF873July 17, 2025 at 6:03 PMBeware they don’t honour their opening hoursWe were a family of five visiting Interlaken for the day and thought this place looked nice. The waitress attending to the outside tables asked us to wait a moment, but shortly thereafter a grumpy looking gentleman came out, looked at us, and then told us “the kitchen is closed”. This was at 1.15pm for lunch. Their signs out front said lunch was available from 11.30am to 1.30pm…slightly odd for a restaurant in a very touristic location, but regardless, around the world the hours displayed are normally the hours during which you need to place an order, not the hours by which you need to have finished eating. I don’t know what this gentleman saw in us that he didn’t like, so beware there is no way of knowing whether or not you will be accepted. We are coming to the end of a 2 week holiday in Switzerland and have had the most amazing time, and EVERYONE besides this man in this restaurant has been extremely friendly and accommodating. So beware!More
- BowieFamilyJuly 11, 2025 at 12:23 PMTerrible serviceWalked in today with another family to be greeted with the most surly welcome we have ever experienced in a restaurant. We were then told unless we ordered the specials - literally only 3 choices - service would be 90 minutes. Hardly anyone in the place - so it felt like they just didn’t want tourists. As it was we decided to walk away from the negativity and went two doors down to Asllanis where the food and service was fantasticMore
- Trip770663July 8, 2025 at 5:32 PMBest cheese Fondue, Swiss family restaurant.❤️We were looking for a genuine Swiss restaurant that had cheese fondue on the menu. The cheese fondue was fantastic absolutely delicious. The restaurant, is run by a lovely family business. Especially Verena who was our waitress for the night the whole atmosphere is full of a beautiful atmosphere and the food is amazing. We are visiting from Melbourne, Australia, and highly recommend anyone to come to this restaurant. Sending lots of love Annette and Robert.More

- Passenger58791572198June 7, 2025 at 6:11 AMHideous experienceI always look at the reviews before I eat somewhere and I thought you know maybe somebody was disgruntled and had a bad day so we gave them a shot. Boy was that a mistake. I came to Switzerland for the ambience the lovely people, etc. Talk about feeling uncomfortable. We order drinks and we’re going to have some food, but the waitress was cold and abrupt. It seems like they are not fond of tourist, which is surprising due to the fact that they are on the main strip and that is their livelihood. I mentioned this to another restauranteur and they said that unless you’re Swiss German, they treat you terribly. Noted sad that they have such a bad reputation in town even amongst their peers. I normally always leave a good review, but this one I could not ignore so I can save my fellow travelers, the same miserable experience. There are plenty of other beautiful places in town to eat.More
- G6569ETpeterbAugust 11, 2023 at 3:53 PMAwful customer service - do not visitHorrendous Customer Service Experience - Do Not Visit My partner is celiac and we disclosed to the waitress Anna 3 times about the gluten issue and she let us order a dish with gluten in. We also requested rice which is gluten free but did not receive this. Then had the chef tell us we still had to pay for a dish and would not get another dish free of charge. The waitress was then rude to us repeatedly calling my partner a liar when other tables saw and shook their heads in disapproval. They eventually took the dish off the bill but quite frankly spoiled our whole experience on our first night in a beautiful town. Venture elsewhere for dinner, it is the most beautiful town but this is not the most beautiful restaurant.More
- 17vladislavmMay 9, 2023 at 11:30 AMInteresting lunch.Since we were at Interlaken decided to try this restaurant as it had traditional Swiss food. We decided to try the Raclette with egg and potato, also had the Fondue with potatoes, pickled cucumber and pickled onions with bread and a salad. The waitress who served us was friendly and gave us information such as the special of the day and then took down our order. We enjoyed our meal and it was nicer than we expected and were glad that we had the Fondue and Raclette. If you have a chance would advise to try this restaurant especially the Fondue and Raclette and decide for yourself whether it is worthwhile or not.More
- JeG0001April 20, 2023 at 3:49 PMGreat food and serviceGreat traditional Swiss restaurant with good service and lovely food. The first night I had pork with mushroom sauce and noodles, and my husband had pork cordon Bleu- both dishes were excellent. We went back the next night and had cheese fondue with bread, potatoes and pickled veges.More
- WanderWithMe001July 7, 2022 at 6:30 PMPathetic Customer ServicePathetic attitude - went there at 8.45 pm and was told that kitchen was closed.. went to restaurant next door, had a good meal at Taverne and returned back at 10.30 pm to see it still open.. saw one of the lady pointing to say NO - clearly bad attitude and in professional customer service - stay away..More
- keithhI3848WFMay 23, 2022 at 2:39 PMVery good traditional Swiss restaurantThe Chalet Beizli is a very good traditional family-run Swiss restaurant. The staff are very nice. The atmosphere is 'gemuetlich', and the Swiss wines are first class. I enjoyed an excellent calf's liver and roesti. Four of out five for this good value restaurant.More
- JohnsonsAZOctober 20, 2020 at 5:31 PMVery Good & Welcoming! Great Dinner ExperienceOur family was treated very poorly at another restaurant at our hotel- Hapimag. Front Desk recommended this one and we tried it out. The food was delicious and they were so welcoming and nice. We had fondue, steak and venison goulash. All were amazing. Server and manager were very friendly and we just had a great meal overall. Highly recommend!More
